Selkirk & Nelson - USA Faculty Double Reed Recital

Oboist Dr. Amy Selkirk and bassoonist Dr. Kristina Nelson will perform a USA Faculty Double Reed Recital on Thursday, March 31 at 7:30 p.m. in the Laidlaw Performing Arts Center Recital Hall. Collaborative pianist and USA faculty Dr. Robert Holm will join them in a concert specializing in several works for double reeds. Dr. Selkirk and Dr. Holm will present works for oboe and piano by Alyssa Morris and Henri Dutilleux, while Dr. Nelson will make her electric bassoon recital debut with a piece by Malcolm Arnold. All three will join together at the end of the program for Francis Poulenc’s Trio for Oboe, Bassoon, and Piano. Tickets for this Department of Music event will be sold at the door only. Admission is $8 general and $5 for USA faculty & staff, USA students, youths under 18 and all senior citizens (cash or check only). Musical Arts Series season passes will of course be honored for admission to this event.
