Zeigler Boulevard to close between Cody Road and University Boulevard
 

Mobile, Ala. — Zeigler Boulevard will be closed for road construction for approximately five months between Cody Road and University Boulevard beginning Monday, June 06.  The road closure is required to complete roadway and drainage construction and utility relocations for the Zeigler Boulevard roadway widening project.  

Zeigler Boulevard traffic will be detoured from Cody Road to Old Shell Road to University Boulevard. 

Zeigler Boulevard (local traffic only) shall be permitted between Athey Road and Middle Ring Road and between Fribourg Street and Chalet Drive West.  Trucks and oversized vehicles are not permitted through these closed sections and shall detour using an alternative route at the intersections of Zeigler Boulevard and Cody Road and Zeigler Boulevard and University Boulevard.

All activities are weather-dependent and may be delayed or rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. Motorists are asked to use caution when traveling near the work zone, especially at night, and keep watch for construction workers and equipment entering and exiting the roadway.
