Wreaths Across America

The United States Air Force Auxiliary Civil Air Patrol-Mobile Squadron will sponsor a Wreath Laying Ceremony for our fallen heroes laid to rest at the National Cemetery located at Virginia & Ann Streets, across from the Police Academy on Saturday, December 15, 2007 from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. This is event, better known as Wreaths Across America, that takes place every year at national cemeteries across the nation. The wreath laying will take place at noon.

There will be a procession starting at 11:30 a.m. at the corner of Gayle & Virginia Streets proceeding westbound on Virginia, turning right on Ann Street, then right into the west entrance of the cemetery. Motorcycle organizations such as the Legacy Vets, Patriot Guard and Devil Dogs, as well as drill teams from Davidson High School JROTC, USA JROTC, a color guard from Keesler Air Force Base, and various veterans’ groups will lead the march. American Legion Post 164 Rifle Team from Citronelle will honor the fallen with a 21-gun salute and bugle solo playing of Taps to end the ceremony.
