World Changers/ House Calls coming to Mobile

This summer a group of dedicated men and women will be painting, roofing and doing all kinds of repairs on homes in Mobile's district 4 as part of World Changers/House Calls. The program is in conjunction with the Southern Baptist Youth Rehabilitation Group. The program is sponsored by Councilman Ben Brooks and the Mobile Housing Board.

Work teams of adults experienced in construction and trained senior high school students from across the country will donate their labor. All materials will be provided free by the Mobile Housing board. Up to 25 homes may be selected to participate in the program.

If you're a homeowner and interested in applying for assistance and you live within the designated targeted area of District 4 you can contact the Housing Board at 434-2276. You may also apply in person at 809 Government Street in Mobile from 8:30 A.M. until 4:00 P.M.
