WAL-MART OPENS NEIGHBORHOOD GROCERY STORE

Wal-Mart has entered the neighborhood grocery store arena in Mobile with its new Market at University Blvd. And Cottage Hill Road.

The Grand opening was January 6, 2003 -the first of its kind in the area and one of ten Wal-Mart Neighborhood Markets which opened in January across the country.

Mayor Mike Dow helped cut the official ribbon as shoppers began making their purchases.
