USS Ramage to Dock in Mobile

The USS Ramage will dock in Mobile at the State Docks, Saturday, Sept . 6, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. The Ramage is an "Arliegh Burke" Class Guided Missile Destroyer, 504 feet long, 67 feet wide with 346 Sailors in the crew. This is the first ship of this class to visit Mobile. The Ramage is very high-tech and carries a variety of missiles including Tomahawks.

Unfortunately, due to high security, general visiting will be prohibited. But, if you have a special group such as Boy Scouts or Girl Scouts, clubs, Veterans Groups and Associations and would like to tour the ship, contact Capt. Hal Pierce for a possible tour. These will be conducted on Sunday and Monday from 1:00p.m. until 5:00 p.m.
