USA Cancer Research Institute Groundbreaking on April 11 at 11 a.m.

The University of South Alabama will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for the USA Cancer Research Institute at 11 a.m. on April 11. The event, which will be held adjacent to USA Knollwood Hospital, is free and open to the public.

National, state, county and city dignitaries, as well as USA cancer patients and their families, are scheduled to attend. Gov. Riley and U.S. Sens. Richard Shelby and Jeff Sessions are scheduled to top the list of notable speakers.

The first phase of the USA Cancer Research Institute will comprise a state-of-the-art 100,000-square-foot research and clinical outpatient facility adjacent to USA Knollwood Hospital. The Institute will provide patients and their families with top-notch medical care and research.
