May 3, 2003 Saturday--9:00 a.m. Cleanup campaign for the St. Stephens Road area. Work begins at the 3rd Police Precinct on St. Stephens. Residents join the police to spruce up the district.


May 6, 2003 Tuesday---2:00 p.m. City Council's Rules Committee meets to discuss reducing the five mile "planning" jurisdiction to three miles to make it consistent with the police jurisdiction.

May 6, 2003 Tuesday---6:00 p.m. There will be a public hearing/information meeting on the city's proposal to begin automated garbage collection. The meeting will be in the auditorium at Government Plaza (where the Council meets). The Mayor and staff will provide educational materials and the public is invited to ask questions and make comments.
