The MoonPie Has Arrived!

The outer shell of the giant MoonPie that will descend on Mobile at the stroke of midnight this New Year's Eve has arrived. It arrived in downtown, and was to be hoisted to the roof of the RSA BankTrust Building. However, high winds prevented the rise, which will be put off until a less windy day.

Below are some pictures of what the outer shell looks like (it had to be hoisted upside down because of the way it was constructed). The inner section, the part that will actually drop, will arrive sometime later this month.
