The Lighting of the Trees Takes Place Friday

The annual Tree lighting kicks off the City’s official start to the holiday season on Friday, November 20th in Bienville Square from 5 until 7 p.m. City Council President Copeland will help Santa Claus turn on the Tree for families at 6:10 precisely. Activities ranging from singers to falling snow will keep children of all ages entertained during the kick off to the holiday season:

Pictures with Santa in his horse drawn carriage will be available; the Mobile Public Library will be reading carols; and dance companies will perform to holiday classics.

The event is free and family friendly and is sponsored by the City of Mobile’s Neighborhood & Community Services Department.
