The Dauphin Street Beer Festival Returns for 13th Year

Aug 24th, 2010

On Saturday, August 28th, the Dauphin Street Beer Festival will take over the LoDa arts and entertainment district from 6 until 9 p.m. This year’s festival will again include different 90 beers to sample in 30 LoDa taverns and restaurants for a flat price of $20 per ticket. People are encouraged to get tickets in advance as they are limited. They are available at any of the participating venues listed on our website, www.ncsmobile.org . We also encourage people to pre-register online for their temporary membership cards, which they receive with their ticket. This helps to make the flow of their beer festival experience smoother and more fluid.

New additions to this year’s festival include five new venues: O’Daly’s Irish Pub, Club Atlantis, Saga, Dahlia’s Piano Bar and Studio 5’4 . There will also be live music in the squares and on the street by: Crucial Rhyme in Bienville Square; DJ Trey Stein in Cathedral Square and strolling accordion beer and german songs by Julie Council. Transporation during the event will be provided by the Wave Transit’s moda. Additionally, to accommodate the growth in the popularity of the event, each venue is adding 50 more tickets per venue. Accordingly, they are also purchasing more beer to adjust to the ticket increase.
