The City of Mobile will function on regular schedule today

After careful consideration, Mayor Stimpson has determined that the City of Mobile government will open for normal business on Wednesday, April 30.

We ask all employees and citizens to use extreme caution when traveling on streets that may have standing water and encourage them to maneuver around standing water when possible. We have identified dangerous sink holes in the vicinity of Girby Road (Lloyds Lane to Peppertree) and Dauphin St. (at McGregor), others may exist.

Additional failures to infrastructure are likely to have occurred and we call upon citizens and employees to notify the City via 311 of any dangerous situation they may encounter.

Thank you to our First Responders who have done heroic work managing last night’s storm and to our Public Works crews for their assistance in the aftermath.
