The City of Mobile and Central Parking Give Back for the Holidays

The City of Mobile and Central Parking have devised a plan to give back to a wonderful cause during this holiday season. From Monday, December 15th through Monday, December 22nd, any monies that are collected from the parking meters around both Cathedral and Bienville Squares in downtown Mobile will be directly donated to Mobile’s women-only homeless shelter, McKemmie Place.

The meters have been decorated to let people know that their parking fees are being used for a good cause.

This program returns after it was successfully piloted in 2006 with proceeds going towards The Salvation Army.
