The workshops covered topics, including, soil conservation techniques, social media and its uses, farm and estate planning, and fruit crop updates. Participants heard from Alabama Agriculture Commissioner John McMillan and Auburn University's Dr. Ayanava Majumdar the message that increased demands to buy locally have contributed to making the production of fruits and vegetables that can be purchased locally in Alabama perhaps the fastest growing agriculture industry in Alabama.
