Street Renamed for Inspirational Leader

Councilman Clinton Johnson sponsored a resolution that was unanimously approved by the Mobile City Council to change the name of Easton Street to Bernice Hudson Drive. Ms. Hudson has served as a mentor and inspiration to generations of Mobilians, including several council members and city staff. Ms. Hudson was joined by dozens of family members and friends as she accepted a ceremonial street sign for Bernice Hudson Drive. The street runs between Broad and Ann in Mobile’s Down-the-Bay Community.
