Statement from Mayor Jones Regarding Cruising in Mobile

“This is certainly devastating news to us. It came as a complete surprise to the City of Mobile,” said Mobile Mayor Sam Jones. “Mobile is perfectly suited for cruising. We have a state-of-the-art cruise terminal and great accessibility to the Gulf. The Elation and the Holiday passenger capacity has exceeded our expectations over the years, therefore, today’s announcement was a surprise. We will continue working with Carnival and our recruitment efforts to get other cruise lines into our city.”
