Spring Hill and USA Welcome Award-Winning Playwright Ntozake Shange

Mobile, Ala. - Spring Hill College and the University of South Alabama will welcome playwright and scholar Ntozake Shange to Mobile Thursday, March 11, for a lecture at the Laidlaw Performing Arts Auditorium on the campus of USA. The 7 p.m. presentation, "Sweet Breath of Life," is being funded through a grant by the Alabama Humanities Foundation and will be followed by a reception and book signing.

Shange is professor of African American studies and women’s studies at the University of Florida and is author of the award-winning play "For Colored Girls Who've Considered Suicide/When the Rainbow is Enuf."The lecture, reception and book signing is free and open to the public.
