Road Work: Old Shell Rd, Spring Hill Ave

Beginning after 6:00 PM Friday, May 1, 2009 and continuing until Monday morning at 6:00 AM, May 4, 2009, Old Shell Road between Florida Street and Upham Street will be closed.The sewer rehabilitation project will be just east of Florida Street. The westbound traffic will be detoured at Upham Street and east bound motorists will be detoured at Florida Street.
If the project is not completed over the weekend, one lane of Old Shell Road will be closed between Florida Street and Upham Street. Traffic will be allowed to flow, but the flagging of traffic will cause some delays.
Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes as delays can be expected.

MAWSS will be upgrading water lines around the intersection of Spring Hill Ave and Catherine Street beginning early Monday, May 4, 2009 until approximately Saturday evening, May 9, 2009. The Mobile Infirmary Hospital is located on the northeast corner of this intersection.
1. Both westbound Spring Hill Ave. lanes will be closed and channeled into the eastbound left turn lane, just west of Catherine St.
2. The inside eastbound lane of Spring Hill Ave will be closed. Left turning movements will be prohibited to all but emergency vehicles.
3. Southbound Catherine Street between Center Street and Spring Hill Ave. will be closed to all non-emergency vehicles.
Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes as delays can be expected.
