Proclamation: Child Abuse Awareness Month

Mayor Jones presented a proclamation to Kelly Warren, the Director of Maternal and Child Health for the Mobile County Health Department, to proclaim April as Child Abuse Awareness Month. Representatives from other agencies that work toward ending child abuse were also on hand to receive the proclamation.

Also at the Council meeting, David Sank from the City's Parks and Recreation Department were on hand to talk to council members about the City's musical program for youth. A trumpeter played a selection to drew a huge ovation from everyone on hand.
