Preservation Leadership Class to Begin
Mar 9th, 2011
The Mobile Historic Development Commission will be holding this year’s Preservation Leadership Classes starting on Tuesday, March 15 and held on consecutive Tuesdays continuing through Tuesday, April 19, from 5:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., at the City Archives, 457 Church Street.
In addition to learning about Preservation you get a tour of the spectacularly restored Hall-Ford House in Ft. Conde Village, and of Mobile's oldest burial ground, Church Street Graveyard. Preservation Leadership consists of a series of six classes that covers history and architectural styles in Mobile, the ultimate insider’s guide to the Architectural Review Board, two tours, and even a G.I.S. demonstration.
Preservation Leadership is part of the community outreach program of the Mobile Historic Development Commission and is taught by members of the staff. Last year’s class filled with 75 participants from across the City. Registration for Preservation Leadership is $50 and the deadline is Tuesday, March 15 at noon.
