Preservation Leadership Class to Begin

Feb 2nd, 2009

The Mobile Historic Development Commission will be holding this year’s Preservation Leadership Classes starting on Tuesday, March 3 and held on consecutive Tuesdays continuing through Tuesday, April 7, from 5:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., at the City Archives, 457 Church Street.

In addition to learning about Preservation you get a tour of a building undergoing restoration and dinner with some of the late greats of Mobile in the City’s oldest Graveyard along with a tour. Preservation Leadership consists of a series of six classes that covers history and architectural styles in Mobile, the ultimate insider’s guide to the Architectural Review Board, two tours, and a guest speaker.

Preservation Leadership is part of the community outreach program of the Mobile Historic Development Commission and is taught by members of the staff. Last year’s class filled with 75 participants from across the City. Registration for Preservation Leadership is $50 and the deadline is Friday, March 20 at noon.
