Portion of University Hospital Drive closing for repairs July 28 

Mobile, Ala. — Beginning Friday, July 28, a small section of University Hospital Drive will be closed for approximately two weeks to accommodate emergency sewer repairs conducted by the Mobile Area Water and Sewer System (MAWSS). During the project, large equipment will block a section of the roadway near the bridge over Three Mile Creek. Motorists are asked to use caution when driving in the area and to follow the posted detour signs when traveling to University Hospital.  

A signed detour for motorists will run from Mobile Street to Prichard Ave. to Stanton Road. Motorists traveling on Springhill Ave. will need to take Stanton Road to access University Hospital. There will be a separate signed detour along the route. Throughout the project, emergency vehicles will be able to access the hospital at the entrance on University Hospital Drive across from Caton Drive.
