Paula Deen Cooks Up a Good Time in Mobile

Mayor Sam Jones and Council President Reggie Copeland welcomed Food Network Chef Paula Deen with gifts from Mobile at the Arthur Outlaw Convention Center on Monday, May 1, 2007. More than 4,000 hungry fans gathered to hear the southern lady talk about her new cooking and her life.

Deen owns The Lady & Sons restaurant in Savannah, Georgia, where she resides, and runs it with her sons, Jamie and Bobby. She has also published four cookbooks. She is known for her bubbly, "down-home" personality, which makes her a favorite among TV viewers.
