Orange Grove Community Development Corporation to Host its Inaugural Kids’ Night Out

Oct 15th, 2009

Organized in 1992, the Orange Grove CDC was established to foster economic development and community empowerment in Mobile County through the development and implementation of grassroots initiatives including affordable housing, small business assistance, coalition building and effective parenting programs.

This year, the OGCDC has partnered with the Mobile County Police Department, the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office, area churches and other corporate sponsors to put on a night of fun that safe for the entire family. There will be “Trunk of Treating”, food, games, music and a gospel soundstage featuring Mobile’s own local talent and hosted by Sherman “Big Show” Tate.

The event will be from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm and held on the grounds of the Stone Street Baptist Church located at 311 Tunstall Ave. In case of rain, the event will be moved to the Dearborn YMCA located at 321 North Warren Street.

There will be prizes and awards, fun and games for everyone to enjoy.

If you have any questions regarding the event, or to be a vendor or sponsor for Kids’ Night Out, please contact Minister Jabaria Willis-Jenkins at 251.545.2100.
