New, Renovated Courts at Copeland-Cox Tennis Center Dediciated

The 10 new and 38 renovated courts at the Copeland-Cox Mobile Tennis Center were dedicated at a ceremony on Monday, August 27, 2007. That brings the total number of courts at the center to 60. Even before the new courts were added, the Mobile Tennis Center was already recognized as the world's largest public tennis facility.

"It's already the world's largest, now we're making it the world's best," said Councilman Reggie Copeland, whom the center was renamed for last year. Plaques were presented to Councilman Copeland to honor the dedication.
