New Planning Commission Members Sworn In

Five new members of the Mobile Planning Commission were sworn in by Mayor Sam Jones on Thursday, February 7, 2013. The new members are Tracie Roberson, Scott Webster, Don Hembree, Jarret Wingfield and Carlos Gant. They join returning commissioners James Watkins, Victoria Rivizzigno, John Vallas, Bill DeMouy, Terry Plauche and Rossevelt Turner. District 4 Councilman John Williams was voted in as a representative of the Mobile City Council.

The Planning Commission meets regularly to recommend amendments to the Zoning Ordinance as well as review applications for Planned Unit Development, Planning Approval and Subdivisions of land. The Commission also hears appeals of the denial of Tree Removal/Trim Permits and Sidewalk Waiver requests.
