Museum of Mobile Hurricane Update

Sep 20th, 2004

The Museum of Mobile, 111 S. Royal Street - Mobile's premiere history museum downtown - weathered Hurricane IVAN with no structural damage. Minor clean up is now underway and the staff is standing-down the facility from the disaster preparations put into effect before the storm. The Museum's other locations, Historic Fort Condé, 150 S. Royal Street and the Phoenix Fire Museum, 203 S. Claiborne Ave. had no damage other than trees down and debris accumulation. An announcement will be made when all locations are open and available to the public.

Colonial Day at Fort Condé, scheduled for Friday, September 24th, has been postponed. A new date will be announced after the public schools are back in session.
