Mother's Day Concert at Bellingrath

"A GARDEN SYMPHONY"


April 27, 2004 - Mobile, AL - On Sunday, May 9, at 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., the Mobile Symphony Youth Orchestra and Bellingrath Gardens and Home will present "A Garden Symphony," Mother’s Day concert in the Gardens.

Taking place on the Great Lawn at Bellingrath, each performance will last 45 minutes. Guests are welcome to bring folding chairs, blankets and picnics. Light refreshments will be sold.

The concerts are included with any gardens admission. A special, gardens only discount admission of $5 per adult and $3 per child, ages 5-12, will be available after 2:00 p.m., May 9 only. Prior to 2:00 p.m., regular Gardens admission prices apply. Additional admission will be charged for tours of the Bellingrath Museum Home and cruises aboard the Southern Belle river cruiser. Guests attending the concerts may enjoy the gardens until dusk. This event will be cancelled if there is inclement weather.

The Mobile Symphony Youth Orchestra is comprised of the Gulf Coast's finest young musicians and provides an opportunity for them to learn a variety of musical literature and improve their musicianship in a symphony orchestra made up of their peers.

Bellingrath Gardens and Home is one of the top estate/display gardens in the United States. Known for its southern charm and unsurpassed beauty, the gardens have long been a treasure to the Mobile community and a favorite of tourists and garden lovers worldwide.
