More Kudos for City of Mobile

The City of Mobile website will be presented as a case study in a conference on 'Citizen-centric government websites.' The conference will be in London, England January 22-23, 2003, and will primarily feature United Kingdom government agencies and information technology companies.

The significance of Mobile's presence on the program is that Administrative Services Executive Director, Chris Lee is presenting a perspective from the U.S. and our city is the only U.S. presence at the event. The program states, 'The City of Mobile's website is regarded as one of the top e-government sites in the U.S.'

This opportunity brings tremendous exposure to the City of Mobile and according to Mayor Mike Dow, validates the investment the City has made in technology over the last ten years.

Once more note, Lee is going to London at the expense of the conference. No City funds will be used on this trip.
