More Drug Busts By Mobile Narcotics Unit

On October 9, 2003, at approximately 5:40 p.m., the Narcotics and ViceSection of the Mobile Police Department concluded an investigation into the
trafficking of marijuana in the west Mobile area. The arrest of Clyde Allen
Jr. (20) was made in the 6300 block of Airport Boulevard. Police seized
three pounds of marijuana, $100.00 cash and a 1997 GMC Yukon.
The investigation also lead police to an apartment in the west Mobile area
in which an additional nineteen pounds of marijuana and $8000.00 in cash
were seized. The suspect, a University of South Alabama student, was charged
with Trafficking in Cannabis and taken to Mobile County Metro Jail. This
investigation will continue and more arrests maybe pending.
