“This is a game-changing decision for Mobile, Alabama,” said Mayor Jones. “We are no longer living on potential – we are living up to it. This plant will have a tremendously positive impact on our citizens for years to come.”

“I am so excited about knowing this is coming to Mobile - the jobs, the economic growth, and most importantly, the people who will learn why this city is such a great place to live,” Council President Copeland added.

The project calls for 2,700 permanent workers and nearly 30,000 workers to build the plant. The permanent jobs could pay between $50,000 and $65,000 annually once the plant is operational in 2010.
