Mobile Welcomes Leaders from Northrop Grumman, EADS

Mar 7th, 2008

The City of Mobile rolled out the red carpet to welcome the leaders of Northrop Grumman and EADS, as well as others that were instrumental in landing the KC-45 tanker.

At a news conference at the Battle House Hotel, officials with Northrop, EADS, and Mobile's congressional delegation took questions from reporters about the process of winning the contract and what will happen from this point on.

When one reporter referenced a congressman from the state of Washington questioning Mobile's workforce capabilities, Mayor Jones didn't wait to be called on to respond.

"We've got a tremendous workforce, and we have worked as a region to put together a great plan for making this tanker a success," he said.
