Mobile United to Host "Engaging the Next Generation" Non Profit Volunteer Fair

Mobile, Ala. - Mobile United invites young professionals to Engaging the Next Generation, a volunteer fair on upper Dauphin Street between Joachim and Conception Streets on Friday April 13th, 2018 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The event will feature exhibits from area non-profits in an effort to connect young professionals to their organizational needs and volunteer opportunities. The event will also include music by SouthSounds Music Fest as a part of the monthly LoDa Artwalk.

Engaging the Next Generation is a collaborative program that was created in 2008 to showcase Mobile-area non-profit organizations while connecting them with the innovators of the next generation. Mobile County Commissioner Merceria Ludgood is partnering with Mobile United and the United Way of Southwest Alabama Government Committee to present the 10th annual event for Mobile-area young professionals between the ages of 21 to 40. The event will feature representatives from local non-profit agencies to provide information about their organization's needs and volunteer opportunities.

Engaging the Next Generation is sponsored by: Mobile United, Mobile County Commissioner Merceria Ludgood, the City of Mobile, and the United Way of Southwest Alabama.
