Mobile Municipal Court Traffic Arraignments Moving

In an effort to shorten the long lines and relieve overcrowdedness on the judicial side elevators of Mobile Government Plaza on Tuesdays, Mayor Sam Jones has moved Municipal Court’s traffic arraignments to the Expo Hall at the Mobile Civic Center beginning on Tuesday, January 8, 2008. Between 600 and 1,000 people appear on traffic arraignments each week.

The new location will open at 7:45 a.m. on Tuesdays and court will begin at 8:00 a.m. for the first docket; 10:00 a.m. for the second docket; and 2 p.m. for the third docket. The closing time for the Municipal Court at Expo Hall will be 4 p.m. If you have questions regarding these dockets call Municipal Court at 208-7055.

If you receive a ticket that has a Wednesday court date, you will need to appear at 5:30 p.m. in Municipal Court at the Government Plaza site.
