Mayor Stimpson seeks citywide 2.5% cost-of-living raise

Resolution 09-444, which amends the budget to enable the raise, was introduced on the City Council’s agenda this week. If approved by City Council, the raise will be implemented effective May 25th, and most employees will see the increase on their June 14 pay statement.

“This raise is made possible by our staff’s continued hard work, strong fiscal management by our department heads and the positive economic growth of the City of Mobile,” says Mayor Stimpson.

Mobile Police Department receives new bikes for downtown precinct

Through their fundraising efforts, the Mobile Law Enforcement Foundation was able to raise more than $11,000 to purchase new bikes for Mobile Police Department's Central Precinct.

Thank you to all of the Downtown businesses that donated funds to ensure the continued safety of Mobile!

Mayor Stimpson speaks to local leaders

As part of his Community Conversations series, Mayor Stimpson spoke this week with Mobile Bay Monthly's recent "40 Under 40" honorees. He gave an exclusive update on the city's bold vision and Mobile's progress to becoming the safest, most business and family-friendly city in America.

Mark Your Calendars: July 4th Celebration at Cooper Riverside Park!

This year's Independence Day celebrations will take place at Cooper-Riverside Park downtown, complete with live music, outdoor family fun, and more. The Mobile Symphonic Pops Band will play at 7pm, and fireworks will begin at 9pm sharp!
