Mobile Landing

Congratulations to Thompson Engineering for receiving the Alabama Chapter of the American Council of Engineering Companies 2003 Engineering Excellence Honor Award for the design and construction of Mobile Landing.

Mobile Landing is a twelve acre municipal wharf complex on the Mobile River. In August 2002, the City of Mobile selected Thompson Engineering to provide architectural and engineering services for Mobile Landing. Located adjacent to the waterfront business and entertainment districts, the site will serve as a gateway to the many venues already developed and planned as part of the strategic growth of downtown Mobile.

The first phase of the project has been completed and will be open to the public this February, making the dream of a publicly accessible waterfront a reality for the citizens of the Mobile metropolitan area.
