Mobile Hosts International Fire Chiefs Association Annual Conference

Mayor Sam Jones and Mobile Fire & Rescue Chief Steve Dean welcomed more than 100 members of the International Fire Chiefs Association’s Southeastern Division to the city for their annual conference.

The conference, with a title of “Being Prepared” is focusing on subjects like dealing with changes in technology, handling disasters, natural or otherwise, information sharing, and the future of firefighting.

The mission of the SEAFC is to provide leadership, education, information, and networking to career and volunteer chief fire officers and managers of Emergency Service Organizations throughout the southeastern division of the International Association of Fire Chiefs.

The SEAFC includes Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, Puerto Rico, South Carolina, Tennessee, U.S. Virgin Islands, Virginia, and West Virginia.
