Mobile Fire-Rescue to Train for Emergency

Sep 26th, 2007

Mobile Fire Rescue Department, along with other local agencies, will hold an exercise at Shaw High School Saturday September 29th beginning at 8 AM.

The scenario will involve an active shooter inside the school but is designed to test our ability to manage the multiple injuries and casualties that will be a part of the emergency scene.

Mobile Police will use this as an opportunity to practice techniques used to subdue an intruder inside a school. The local ambulance providers will assist in removal of “patients” to surrounding hospitals. American Red Cross will also contribute to this event.
