Mobile Fire-Rescue Looking for a Few Good Houses

Firefighters can simulate firefighting and other tasks associated with combating a fire but its much better when they can train in an actual controlled structure fire.

The Mobile Fire-Rescue Departments Training Division is in need of houses or other structures in which to burn and train in. Anyone who donates a structure to the department for training purposes can receive a tax write-off.

There are some requirements that must be met in order for the department to be able to use the structure for training purposes. All utilities must be disconnected; the structure must have a roof, floors, doors and windows.

There may be other requirements as well. A member of the Training Division will come out and evaluate the structure to determine if it meets our needs.
