Mobile City Council District Six Election Details

Oct 25th, 2010

Due to the special election for Mobile City Council District Six falling on the same day as the general election, November 2, 2010, some voters will cast their ballots in two different polling locations. If they vote in the same voting center, there are two separate areas of the polling place for them to vote in.

The three Municipal Election voting centers in District Six are:

• Hillcrest Baptist Church, 1204 Hillcrest Road
• Our Savior Catholic Church, 1801 Cody Road
• Mobile Regional Senior Community Center, 3201 Hillcrest Road

Since this may different from their General Election voting location, it is important for them to be aware of the difference. Signs will be posted and greeters will be on hand to alert voters as to where they should go.

Each voting center will have a large map with the addresses within each voting ward of District 6, in the event someone questions their eligibility to vote based on where they live.

A special page on the city’s website, www.cityofmobile.org, has been designed so that when a citizen enters their address, they will be given the address and a map of their District Six polling location.

Any citizen who has a question about the District Six special election can call the City Clerk’s Office at 208-7411.
