Mobile Animal Shelter Micro-Chips Rueben
Jan 19th, 2006
At the January 17 City Councill meeting, Ellen Lursen from the Mobile Animal Shelter spoke about Micro-Chipping for your dogs and cats. Micro-Chipping has become a valuable asset to shelters and families around the country. It is so useful if your dog or cat might become lost and it gets taken to a shelter, the pet can be scanned and their family contacted. Dogs medical records can be held on the chip too. So that no matter what vet the dog is at the doctor could obtain the medical records by scanning the micro-chip.Al Stokes, Chief of Staff, offered his dog to be micro-chipped. Rueben, the dog, was a great sport and showed it is a easy and quick procedure. It is a great way to keep track of his medical records at the vetrenarians office.
Friends of Mobile Animal Shelter and B&B Pet Stop will be having a Micro-Chipping and Rabies Clinic this weekend, January 21, 2006 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. at B&B Pet Stop on Cottage Hill Rd.
