McGregor Avenue Closing

Beginning tomorrow, Friday, August 1, 2008 and continuing for approximately three weeks, McGregor Avenue, between Airport Blvd. and Dauphin St will be closed during non-peak hours. In an effort to expedite this MAWSS sewer project, the road will be closed during most daylight hours. Traffic will be allowed to flow during the following times:

1. From 7:00 AM until 8:30 AM the road will be entirely open for morning rush hour traffic

2. From 11:30 AM until 1:00 PM the road may be restricted to one lane in each direction, OR it may narrow to one lane, shared by each direction of travel. If it is narrowed to one lane, there will be personnel in place flagging traffic.

3. From 4:30 PM until 6:00 PM the road will be entirely open for evening rush hour traffic

If any additional information is required contact Mobile 311 by dialing 311 from a landline or from most cell phones you should dial 208-7999. A detour route, and signs with these hours will be posted, but motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes as significant delays can be expected.
