Mayor Stimpson sponsors resolution to benefit low-income families

Mayor Stimpson is sponsoring a resolution to adopt the 2015 Action Plan to guide the administration of Community Development Block Grants (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnership Grants (HOME) and Emergency Solutions Grants (ESG) the City receives from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The Mobile City Council will vote on the plan during Tuesday's City Council meeting.
FY 2015 Action Plan Facts:
- Directs resources to develop a viable urban community by providing decent affordable housing and a suitable living environment
- Expands economic opportunities for low and moderate-income persons.
Establishes projects for the next Program Year from May 1, 2015 through April 30, 2016, to be funded with assistance from the following three programs which are funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development(HUD) - Community Development Block Grants (CDBG)
- HOME Investment Partnership Grants(HOME)
- Emergency Solutions Grants (ESG).
- This is the third year of the City's overall five-year "2013-2017 Consolidated Housing and Community Development Plan."
