Mayor Stimpson recognizes employee of the month

MOBILE, Ala. - Mayor Sandy Stimpson recognized Dexter Johnson, Parks and Recreation Public Service Supervisor II as the City of Mobile's employee of the month. Johnson is the Supervisor of the Mowing Division.

Public Works Executive Director Bill Harkins nominated Johnson for spearheading the plan to outsource the mowing and maintenance of medians on Mobile's main thoroughfares last year.

"Dexter's leadership emboldened his team to enact important changes that dramatically improved the appearance of Mobile's rights-of-ways and parks throughout Mobile," said Mayor Stimpson. "He accomplished this while maintaining his existing work load and continues to be committed to enhancing this plan."
