Apr 15th, 2014

Mobile, Ala. -- Mayor Sandy Stimpson announced the latest in a series of community meetings to hear from citizens about important issues facing their neighborhoods and the City of Mobile.

Upcoming meetings will be held at 6 p.m. April 21 at Moffett Road Assembly of God, 6159 Moffett Road in Mobile. The next meeting will be held at 6 p.m. April 24 at St. Monica's Catholic Church, 1131 Dauphin Island Parkway in Mobile.

The meetings are designed to give citizens direct access to the mayor and to senior members of his administration. Stimpson said the meetings are part of his plan to engage citizens in a conversation about the future of Mobile.

"As a candidate for mayor, I promised to run city government in an open and transparent manner and these meetings are just one component of that promise," Stimpson said. "My hope is that we can gather together as neighbors and share ideas about how we can move Mobile forward."

Additional meetings are being scheduled across Mobile and will be announced in the coming weeks. All meetings are free and open to the public. For more information, contact Shayla Beaco, senior director of operations and community affairs, at 251-208-7807.
