Mayor Jones Welcomes Ride 2 Recovery

On Tuesday, March 5, 2013, Mayor Sam Jones was joined by citizens and hundreds of school children to welcome the Ride 2 Recovery Gulf Coast Challenge.

The Ride 2 Recovery is produced by the Fitness Challenge Foundation, in partnership with the Military and VA Volunteer Service Office, to benefit mental and physical rehabilitation programs for our country’s wounded veterans that feature cycling as the core activity. Founded in 2003, to raise awareness and enlist the public’s aid for the needs of injured service members.

The Ride 2 Recovery Gulf Coast Challenge began on March 2 in New Orleans, and will make its way to Tallahassee, Florida by March 8.
