Mayor Jones Responds to GAO Ruling

Mobile Mayor Sam Jones responded to the Government Accountability Office's action to sustain Boeing's protest of the Air Force Refueling Tanker Contract awarded to Northrop Grumman:

"We are disappointed, but we are not discouraged by today's news. We still believe we have the better aircraft. If this competition has to be reopened, which is not necessarily the case, I feel comfortable that we will win the contest once again. Our support for Northrop Grumman has never been stronger. The Air Force has 60 days to respond and we will wait for that response before mapping our next step."
