Mayor Jones Recognizes Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day

Mayor Sam Jones welcomed a crowd aboard the USS Alabama Battleship to remember the attacks on Pearl Harbor and honor those who paid the ultimate price. Thursday, December 7, 2006 marks the 65th anniversary of the day President Franklin Rooseveldt said "shall live in infamy."

Fifty servicemen from Alabama were killed in the attacks on Pearl Harbor. That attack propelled the United States into World War II.
