Mayor Jones Praises BayFest on Being One of Southeast’s Top Events

BayFest Music Festival has been selected for a top tourism award in the region – one of the Southeast Tourism Society’s Top 20 Events for the month of October 2009. As a winner of this coveted distinction, BayFest and the City of Mobile will receive extensive exposure in print, television and radio in the U.S. and Canada.

“BayFest is truly an asset to the City of Mobile, drawing visitors from throughout the Southeast region to our downtown area,” said Mayor Sam Jones. “It gives me honor to have one of the country’s most premier music festivals birthed in our city.”
