Mayor Jones Kicks Off Great American Cleanup

Mayor Sam Jones welcomed Keep Mobile Beautiful Inc. President Donna Brown to the City Council meeting on Tuesday, April 17, 2012. They announced details for the annual Great American Cleanup Week which is April 21 – 28.

Volunteers can register by calling Keep Mobile Beautiful at 208-6209 or by going online to www.handsonsal.org; once you have registered, you can go to Keep Mobile Beautiful’s offices at 1451 Government Street from 9:00 a.m. till 4 p.m. Monday through Friday to pick up supplies.

The culmination of the Great American Cleanup Week is the Clean City Celebration, which will be held on Saturday, April 28 at 1 p.m. in the Burlington Coat Factory parking lot.
